Let's make things pretty together! Here's everything you need to know, but please reach out with questions. No glazing or painting experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome! Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll be guided and challenged on an individual basis. You can think of this workshop as an excuse to play around with colors! In this workshop you will be hand painting (glazing) a bisqued ceramic piece, and I will walk you through every step of the process. From intricate designs to simple color play, the door is open to any designs you want to make. I will have examples to mimic, or you can come up with your own ideas! All materials and tools will be provided. Studio safety will be discussed. Your finished pieces will be kiln fired once clear coated. If you signed up for the clay workshop too (see package pricing), you'll be able to glaze the piece you made in the clay workshop. If you just sign up for the glazing workshop, I'll have pieces for you to glaze. All glazed pieces will be ready to be picked up no later than the end of February 2024. Hosted in my basement home studio in Milwaukee, WI. Address will be emailed to you after you sign up. MUST BE ABLE TO WALK UP AND DOWN STAIRS because my main studio space lives in my basement. Dress warm and casual. The basement is chilly (especially in the winter). Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty. All the materials that we will use are water soluble and will come out in the wash. I have a couple aprons, but bring your own if you'd like! Light snacks and drinks will be provided by me, but feel free to bring a snack to share if you wish! It is a like party, after all!
